ENROLLING YOUR CHILD
Currently there are two enrolment forms used at this school. One is for enrolment into the preschool and the other for enrolment into the school. If a child is enrolled in the preschool, a school enrolment form must be filled out prior to starting school.

All children begin preschool and reception at the beginning of the year. There is only one intake each year; however students from another school can enrol to go to Echunga Primary School at any time.
Children who turn 4 on or before 30th April each year begin Preschool at the beginning of that year. Children who turn 4 between 1st May and 31st October can begin preschool in term 3 with the mid year intake.
Those children who turn 5 on or before 30th April each year begin Reception at the beginning of that year. Those who turn 5 between 1st May and 31st October begin school in term 3 with the mid year intake.
A tour is encouraged to have a look around our lovely school and meet staff. Just call the school on (08) 8388 8306 to arrange a time.
FAMILY INVOLVEMENT AT THE SCHOOL
Parents and family members are welcomed at our school and the assistance that you can give is invaluable. A close home-school bond is one of the best ways to support children’s learning, development and wellbeing.
Parents are welcome to become involved in a wide range of activities which include joining the Governing Council and the various sub-committees and assisting teachers with various teaching programs such as:
- Hearing children read
- Library assistance
- Helping out with excursions and camps
- Taking cooking groups
- Ground Maintenance (Gardening)
- Sharing specialist knowledge and expertise within the classroom
Volunteers need a current Working With Children Check clearance which can be organised by the school. Please pop into the school office or speak to a member of staff if you are interested.

ASSEMBLY TIMES
Each class organises and runs the assemblies on a rostered basis. Parents and friends are warmly invited to join us as students develop valuable confidence in presenting their learning to an audience. Assemblies are held in our Alluvial Hall please check diary dates for upcoming dates and times.
UNIFORMS
Echunga Primary School colours are navy and yellow with a small screen printed logo of “Echunga Primary School” (from The Uniform Shop) to be on all T-shirts and wind cheaters.
All students are encouraged to wear our uniform as it has many advantages:
- To show pride in the school you attend
- To promote your school
- For easy identification and safety on excursions
- For corresponding colours in school photos
- The elimination of the competition of wearing brand name clothing
- Hassle free mornings for parents when it is time to decide what to wear to school.
