Enrolling your Child
Currently there are two enrolment forms used at this school. One is for enrolment into the preschool and the other for enrolment into the school. If a child is enrolled in the preschool, a school enrolment form must be filled out prior to starting school.
All children begin preschool and reception at the beginning of the year. There is only one intake each year; however students from another school can enrol to go to Echunga Primary School at any time.
Children who turn 4 on or before 30th April each year begin preschool at the beginning of that year. Those who turn 4 after this date begin preschool at the beginning of the next year.
Those children who turn 5 on or before 30th April each year begin reception at the beginning of that year. Those who turn 5 after this date begin reception at the beginning of the next year.
A tour is encouraged and can be arranged before enrolling. Just call the school on (08)83888306 to arrange a time.
Parents Involvement at the School
Parents are welcome at the school and the assistance that you can give is invaluable.
Parents are welcome to become involved in a wide range of activities which include:
Joining the Governing Council and the various sub-committees
Assisting teachers with various teaching programs such as:
- Hearing children read
- Library assistance
- Helping out with excursions
- Taking elective cooking groups
- Ground Maintenance (Gardening)
- Preparing the daily fruit platters for Junior primary
Volunteers also need a current DCSI clearance which can be organised and paid for by the school.

School Commences at 9:00am. Teachers commence yard duty at 8:30am.

Assembly Times
On Mondays, weeks 3, 6 and 9 @ 2.30 pm in the Alluvial Hall.
Each class organises and runs the assemblies on a rostered basis. Parents and friends are warmly invited to join us, as students develop valuable confidence in presenting their work to an audience.
School Uniform
Echunga Primary School colours are NAVY AND YELLOW with a small screen printed logo of “Echunga Primary School” (from The Uniform Shop) to be on all T-shirts and windcheaters.
All students are encouraged to wear our uniform.
The wearing of the school uniform has many advantages which are as follows:
- To show pride in the school you attend
- To promote your school
- For safety on excursions
- For corresponding colours in school photos
- The elimination of the competition of wearing brand name clothing
- Hassle free mornings for parents when it is time to decide what to wear to school.
